Dear donors
February is coming to an end and travel preparations are in full swing.
There were donations in kind worth €900 and weigh 50 kilos. Now I pack, stow and tie everything in the 2.5 suitcases that I want to help the airlines onto the plane.

After 3h return & I packed everything into the 2.5 suitcases. Glad I played Tetris. I won’t tell anyone that my backpack weighs 8 kilos.

Today I made my way to BER airport to use Lufthansa’s pre-check-in and to ask United Airlines in advance for a free 2nd suitcase. Since there was no one at BER at United Airlines, a Lufthansa service lady helped me and called her supervisor. She accompanied me to the check-in during the conversation and arranged for both suitcases to be checked-in free of charge.
Thank you very much for this generous gesture and the 3 extraordinarily caring and helpful ladies from the Lufthansa team BER! Everyone involved will really appreciate it.

Now I say goodbye at this point on the plane and look forward to unpacking in Honduras. I take all donors with me on the journey and report. Stay tuned.
