A lot helps a lot…

… is an old truism. And like most pieces of wisdom, this one is also true on closer inspection.

As you can see from the story, a friendship grew through a prophesied encounter, and based on the facts I found, the Initiative. Initially, the Honduras initiative emerged and grew on its own. Today she has many friends and supporters.

About me: I’m currently working in social responsibility, studying computer science and I like to think outside the box. In order to get a little closer to the edge of my nose, I travel a lot and far. I don’t travel because of “the way” or “the goal” but to get to know people.

In my private life, I also deal with the worries and needs of other people and try to define “world pain” for myself. The Brothers Grimm and Johann Paul Friedrich Richter (Writer of the Classical & Romantic period) describe the world-weariness as “enjoyment in suffering” & “the deep sadness of the inadequacy of the world”. In my current context, that doesn’t quite correspond to what the current emotional state is about. So far I have broken down the word and see 2 starting points for thoughts and actions:

Pain in the world” & “the world and its pain

The second is way too big for me and I’m content with the things I can do myself to take the pain out of the world where I go through life.

The former underlines quite well my view of the world and my attitude that everything is subject to the principle of cause and effect. It’s not too big for me and I can make a difference. For if I am cause, I have influence over the effect. If I am an effect, I use all my senses to recognize the cause. At this point I intentionally do not give any examples… because example enough is the website you are on.

With farsightedness, insight and open eyes, I will continue on this honorable path and look forward to growing in the form of friends, donors, supporters.

So far, I’ve been working on the basics for the initiative alone. I am currently exchanging ideas with family and friends, advising and discussing the situation with 5 Honduran friends. In addition to teachers and professors, this also includes governors, directors and mayors. In the future, however, I still see 1-2-3 like-minded people in Europe at my side and am playing with the idea: the initiative will become an association.

  • Can you introduce yourself as an active part of an initiative?
  • Would you like to make a difference?
  • Do you agree with the statement: Education should be accessible to everyone?
  • Do you accept the truism: more helps more?

Then I look forward to hearing from you and sharing possible similarities.

The initiative team currently consists of:

  • C. Arguello Valdez / Teacher & Initiator
  • J. Ortiz Morales / Area Manager L4L
  • G. Posadas / Governor of the Department
  • I. Yanez Bracamomte / Director of Education Nacaome
  • J. Valdez Arguello / Teacher
  • K. Raquel Jimenez / Teacher
